Falling Into Grace

A golden leaf lets go

of it's Kingly perch,

Up on a tree so high.

Dancing and twirling

It makes its ways to the ground,

Never fearing the landing,

Simply enjoying the journey.

Oh, I want to be like a leaf,

On a bright autumn day!

To surrender control...

Let myself go into a freefall,

twirling, floaring, gracefully

On God's majestic Love.

Just to trust... Arms of Grace

Are opened wide,

To catch me when I fall.

Trusting makes the journey

So much more bright and free.

It allows you to enjoy the view,

Soak up the sunlight of love.

Feel the breeze of happiness

As God leads you on,

Taking time to touch others

With the beauty

of letting go.
