light.

light.

its one evening spontaneously zooming off to the city with a couple girls so we can sit in a cafe and be reminded how imperfect we are and how safe vulnerability can look

its loving a child

its sitting in the recliner that faces the sleepy sun. eyes closed. just being a human being

its surrender

its coming to wits end. it's been steadily impressive to me how, without God, i have zilch to offer. i'm limp at the feet of Jesus. done with me. desperate for His ways.

it's breathing the reality of how simple it is when acceptance is lived out

its a friend suggesting we share vulnerable letters with each other. so we do

its a saturday morning conversation over coffee with a drop-in friend and that somehow eases darkness and infuses courage into some veins of the soul again.

perhaps friendship is one of the most golden gifts ever given to mankind

its prayers

its supper hour laughter

its sunday school discussion

its faith. the simplicity of faith

light.

i feel it gently dripping into the heart.

a cautious ease.

a friend once said,

''if you see any glimmer of light anywheres, go there. if something just sparked even a tiny bit of joy, go.''

i think we all desire light.

light.

u n w o r t h y

we humans are

to receive

bits of heaven sent

light.
